“Avaas was just a village kid trying to learn the tabla in those days,” Manjul recalled, “but he understood the struggle and he felt deeply that Nepal belonged
to all Nepalis.” Indeed, the underlying message in the lyrics that Avaas chooses for his songs, whether they are his own or something he picks up from his poet friends, go to the heart of Nepal’s current dilemma but always carrying a sense of hope. Both the words and the music uplifting. Explains Manjul: “It comes from Avaas’ own quick-to-smile personality, his belief that we may be in darkness but soon the sun will rise, as it must.”

AAVAAS' PALAA PALAA (April 11, 2004)

Considering the recording technique used – this album qualifies for a vintage – AAA. It was analogue all the way – recorded on a magnetic spool tape, the whole album was mixed and mastered using now almost absolute – analogue technique. This digital sound free album was recorded on another vintage tradition of – One Take Recording. All the music including vocals was recorded at the same time, at one go. Present day track system was not used at all. The intimacy between the artists involved is believed to have been captured in this piece of analogue, produced in this age of the digitals.

PHATTEMAN AT 70 (2005)

This album was composed for veteran singer Phatteman. Aavaas has choused the lyric from deference songwriters and make soft melody for singer. Composer had used modern MIDI technology for music arrangement. After making music tracks, instruments player did over dub the sound using original instruments, then recorded Phatteman's golden voice. Songs of this album are based on typical Nepali style called contemporary Nepali music (Nepali Aadunik Geet)
